Lil Boosie used his time in jail to figure out what he wants from his career, plotting hard about how he wants to raise the bar. Ever since his release on 5 March after serving five years for third degree possession of Marijuana, Boosie has been hard at work, launching single after single. And now the 31-year-old rapper just revealed that he’s releasing two projects this year – nah, not mixtapes, but full length studio albums!
“Right now I think I’m gonna drop two albums this year. Drop one July 15 and I’m gonna try drop one in December also,” he revealed, before warning rappers that “right now, it is a Boosie takeover! That’s basically the idea. I am just tryna go in and go hard. You know, I slept too many days”.
To show that hommie isn’t playing games, he says he wrote a whopping 1,000 songs for the July 15 album, which will feature names such as T.I, 2 Chainz, Jeezy, and – to add some mellow feel on it – Justin Bieber. The album has no title yet, but he might as well name it The Boosie Takeover.
On the album, Boosie says, “It’s a classic. I wanted to come home and hit em hard, get that machine behind it, be successful and show the world.”
