The Hip Hop/Pop crossover has been in full effect this year. From Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s trio of collabs (“Suit & Tie”, “Holy Grail”, “Murder”) to Miley Cyrus jumping on tracks with Mike Will Made It, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J (“23″) to Too $hort and Twista appearing on Lady Gaga’s upcoming ARTPOP album ( ”Jewels & Drugs”), rappers are more inclined to work with their pop singing counterparts more than ever.
According to Mac Miller it is all part of the fun of making music and reaching a bigger audience. Miller also has a verse on buzzing pop star Ariana Grande’s Top 10 single “The Way.” A remix of the song features another rapper Fabolous. Grande’s current single “Right There” is collaboration with G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean.
