So it’s almost that time of the year again. Yesterday we unofficially leaked the 2013 Back To the City line-up and as usual, it can’t be messed with.
Reason, ProVerb , Zeus, Tuks and Tumi will headline this year’s Freedom Day festival, supported by the likes of SAMA nominees Last Days Fam, as well as regulars like Kwesta, Zuluboy, iFani, Maggz, Spaceman, Abdus and Flabba. The event has also broadened its range to include some major Back To the City newbies who will grace the stage for the first time. These include Ginger Breadman, Gigi Lamayne, Fratpack and 2Lee Stark.
The event will feature 3 stages, 6 dance crews, 40 emcees, graffiti displays, skating, a beer garden and gaming zone. Remember you can avoid disappointment by copping your tickets early on www.backtothecity.com. It will set you back R80 if you buy them between now and Monday and will cost you R100 thereafter and at the gate.
Of course, we’ll be giving away some tickets during the week so keep your eyes glues to our Facebook and Twitter pages. It’s all going down on 27 April at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown. See you there!
