The Creative Writing Competition in association with Caxton and Southgate Mall is in full swing! The initiative is aimed at high school pupils and will help give them a kick-start into the world of Journalism.
The competition is aimed at pupils from schools within the Southern Suburbs (such as Mondeor, The Hill and Glenvista High). Each month will see a different set topic the pupils will have to write about, this month’s topics being “Celebrating Women” and “The Future”.
This Just In…
The competition has since received such a good response, that it has been extended further to High School pupils who live and attend schools in Soweto as well. Also, the topics are not monthly or for certain grades anymore, everybody can write on a topic of their choice. Also added is a new topic to the existing ones so that Spring is featured, the topic is “Faces of Spring“.
Prizes Up For Grabs:
Pupils stand a chance of winning a Six-Month Journalism Internship Programme at Caxton.

There will be three winners; each will get a Samsung Tablet, a BlackBerry 8520 and a Digital Camera.
The main winner will get all that including the Internship (which is the main prize).
