Back To The City Line Up

As you know, the best attended hip hop show in the country is happening this Friday (27 April) at Bree and Henry Nxumalo under the bridge in Newtown. Make sure to get your presold tickets from the Ritual Store for R50 or on the day (we advise that you do it prior since those lines can get pretty crazy) for R60. So far, the lineup includes:

HHP, AKA, Tuks, Zakwe, Pro, Zubz, Red Button, L-tido, Blaklez, Substance, Nveigh, Clu, Khanyi Mavi, Federation, Siya Shezi, Neo Beatz, 3rd Wave, Optical Illusion, J-Bux, Hymphatic Thabz, Robo, Hisham, MThlati, Morale, Kwesta, Articulate Artist, Substance, Dotcom, Reason, J Stash, SCF, Youngsta, Adisa Baba, Endzi, Ill Skillz, Gini Grindith, Township Frequency, Spaza shop Boyz

At R60 for all those artists, this is bound to be one of the most epic events of the year. The organisers are hinting that there is an additional surprise act that they may or may not be releasing prior to the event. Hmmm… Who do yall think it could be?

Remember that Back to the City will also host their annual business summit which will feature a panel of experts including Kevin Mdubeki (Electromode label exec), Lesiba Marokana (YFM music exec), Melanie Ramjee (PR Expert) , Khulu Manqele (producer and director), Julian Kubel (Butan Clothing owner), Spex (publishing expert), Vusi Leeuw (A&R expert), David Chislet (music expert), Thapelo Mokoena (President of Young Producers Forum) and our very own edito, Simone Harris. The forum will cover a range of issues surrounding the digital era in music and will be hosted by Morena Sefatsa. It begins at 10am and is free of charge so make sure to come through.
